Terms and Conditions

Health or Medical Problems/Vaccinations & Senior Pets: Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for senior pets, or pets with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate current ones during or after the groom. Using my services will give Leigh Emmas Dog Grooming permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by Leigh Emmas Dog Grooming. We will do our best to contact you first, and then take your pet to your authorized veterinarian, or to the nearest veterinarian that is available. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner. It is the owners responsibility to verify their pets are currently up to date with their vaccinations. Special Circumstances will be taken into consideration.

Fleas/Ticks: Leigh Emma's Dog Grooming strives to keep this a flea/tick free salon. If fleas are found on your dog through the groom, you will be notified. Your dog will be given a flea bath and we will try to make sure your dog leaves the salon flea free, an extra charge may be added to your bill which will cover the cost of flea bombing the salon afterwards and extra shampoo used to de-flea your dog. Repeated flea cases may be refused until you have the problem under control.

Matted Dogs: Matting can cause severe discomfort to your dog; it can grow tight and strangle your dog’s skin, or eventually tear it open. Matted coats and excessive undercoats can cause a variety of health problems. Matted fur does not allow air circulation to get to the skin, causing hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin infections. The skin underneath the matted coat can be raw and inflamed. Matted coats will be clipped off so not to cause any serious discomfort. After effects of removing matted fur can cause itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritation, abrasions and failure of the hair to re grow. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, extra charges may be added to your bill for matted dogs.

Accidents: There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: As a one to one grooming salon time is reserved specifically for your appointment, when a customer doesn’t show up or cancels at the last minute it is difficult to then fill the appointment. We do require 24 hours notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment; a cancellation fee may be charged if less than 24 hours is given. No shows will be asked to pay in advance upon booking another appointment, this is non refundable if the appointment is missed.

Hold Harmless Agreement: By using Leigh Emma's Dog Grooming you (or your Agent) agree not to hold Leigh Emmas Dog Grooming responsible for any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of your pet, either known or unknown to Leigh Emmas Dog Grooming. It is also further understood and agreed the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice, and will overwrite any and all prior agreements or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all pets groomed.
